Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at zellamski@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We get this question a lot, the holiday is a COACH holiday. To hire a coach for 10 days is expensive and we have to cover the costs of the hire and accomodation to make the trip viable.

When flyers join us on the Saturday they are fully part of the group and that includes use of the coach during the week whether thats to the slopes or on evenings/days out.

We offer a £50 discount as a gesture towards the cost of your flights.

Towels Yes, Kettle - No

This is a typical Austrian hotel and as with most other European hotels kettles don't come as standard. You are welcome to bring you own.

The hotel provides breakfast, apres ski snack (afternoon) and a 3 course evening meal.

Breakfast is either in the hotel or if you are staying in the villa will be provided in the breakfast room at the Villa.

Evening meals are in the hotel in our own dining room.

The hotel has a fully stocked bar and often provides entertainment throughout the week.

Once a week the hotel organise 'KITCHEN NIGHT' essentially an all you can eat buffet from the kitchen

Over the years we have had many people who come and dont ski.

There is so much to do even in the winter. the train station is a 5 minute walk away and provides links to Salzburg, Innsbruck and Munich which are all achievable in a day. Zell am See is a lovely town for shopping and walking.

The area in the summer is renowed for its hiking and walking, but equally so in the winter. The benefits of going late Feb/March is most areas are quite accessible as the snow has melted from the town.

Kaprun and Zell am See both have amazing Indoor swimming pools.

The Tauren Spa at Kaprun is amazing and worth a whole day there - http://www.taurenspakaprun.com

As well as gathering every evening for meals, we often meet up for pre drinks in what is traditionally known as 'Freds Bar'.

Fred Trout was one of the founding members of the holiday and sadly passed away in 2022, he is still fondly remembered each year.

Skittles - During the week we spend an evening in Zell at the 'Freizeizentrum' where we play skittles. This is FREE and provided by the trip.

Of course you are more than welcome to jump on the train any evening and go into Zell yourselves.

YES!

Bruck has a small supermarket about a 5-10 min walk away.

At the end of the village around a 15 minute walk is a big Maximarkt supermarket.

Remember in Austria most shops are closed on Sundays, so when we arrive we recommend if you want to get milk, beers or snacks for the rooms to walk to the supermarket Saturday afternoon.

Once or twice throughout the week we will stop at the Maximarkt with the coach on the way home from skiing.
